Marlboro Gardens Secondary School Coding Camp
Marlboro Gardens Secondary School - July 20th 2024 (Johannesburg, South Africa)
In a world full of problems, we seek new creative solutions from young people around the world. Technology is advancing rapidly and shaping every aspect of our present and future world. Our vision is for every young person to be empowered with the computer literacy skills and coding knowledge to realize their dreams and contribute to making our world a better place for all.
What is the Codesolve Camp?
This camp is one of the first digital workshops that will provide learners with an introduction to computer science and basic coding concepts. The camp is a structured learning program that will be taught through peer learning to enable learners to become familiar with coding to solve problems. The camp involves a combination of teaching and individual and team activities. Learners will first learn key coding concepts and thereafter have an opportunity to solidify their learnings through activities. Learners will be encouraged to ask questions, discuss, debate and actively participate in their learning journeys. The camp is for everyone, whether you want to be a programmer or not, because coding is everywhere around us and will continue to shape our world.
